For physiotherapists who need to know what their patients actually did
Your patients say they did their exercises. They probably believe it. But self-reported adherence and objectively measured adherence are not the same thing.
Bandcizer is a resistance band sensor validated in 11 peer-reviewed clinical studies. It measures what your patients' resistance bands did — force output, time under tension, rep quality — and puts that data in your dashboard. Not what they remember. Not what they estimated. What happened.

The data you get
Every session your patient completes generates a timestamped clinical record:
Force output in Newtons
Per rep, per set. Average and peak. Not estimated from motion — measured directly from band deformation.
Time under tension
Total and per rep. The metric that determines training stimulus, independent of rep count.
Quality score (0–100%)
Calculated from consistency across the set. Objective execution quality, not patient self-assessment.
Repetitions and sets
Detected from actual band deformation patterns. No manual logging required.
Session completion
Did the patient do the prescribed programme, or part of it?
The sensor captures this at 20 times per second via capacitive measurement. It reads what the resistance band did physically — not what the patient's arm or wrist did in space.
A wrist-worn accelerometer detects that your patient moved their arm. This sensor measures what their resistance band did. Different instrument. Different data.
What the research validates
11 independent studies published between 2015 and 2024 used the Bandcizer sensor as the measurement instrument. Not tangential mentions — the sensor is named in the title or abstract of each.

What this means for your clinic
The measurement instrument is the validated component
The 11 studies didn't validate an app or a content library. They validated the physical sensor — the capacitive measurement method that detects band deformation at 20 Hz. The hardware in the sensors available today is the same hardware those research groups selected for their study designs.
Independent research groups chose this sensor
Aalborg University. Bispebjerg Hospital, Copenhagen. University of Queensland. Copenhagen muscle research groups. These researchers evaluated their options and selected Bandcizer. They weren't contracted to validate it — they chose it as their measurement instrument.
The data gap is the gap that matters
Other rehabilitation platforms have published research showing that patients received exercise instructions — that the right programme reached the right patient. Those studies validate content delivery. This research validates something different: whether the exercises were actually performed correctly. Force. Time under tension. Quality. The sensor measures execution, not intention.
How it works in your clinic
For your patients
- 1Patient clips the sensor onto their flat resistance band
- 2They exercise at home — the sensor records in the background
- 3Session data syncs automatically when their phone has connectivity
- 4They don't interpret the data. They train. The sensor does the rest.
Login is QR code + 6-digit one-time password. You generate it from your dashboard. No email signup, no password reset flow, no friction for patients who may not be comfortable with apps.
For your team
Your dashboard shows every patient's training data:
- Session history — when they trained, what exercises, how the data looked
- Adherence — who trained this week, who didn't
- Force progression — getting stronger, or plateauing?
- Quality trends — improving execution, or compensating?
Data arrives automatically after each patient session. No manual entry. No waiting for the next appointment to ask “did you do your exercises?”
Your patients can also message you directly from the app. You respond from your dashboard — same screen as their session data. Every message logged, timestamped, scoped to your organisation.

Integrated Clinical Messaging
Communicate securely with patients directly through the platform. Send encouragement, modify exercise plans, or answer questions — without switching tools.
Every message logged, timestamped, scoped to your organisation. Not a separate platform. Not SMS. One clinical view.
My knee feels a bit stiff today after the squats.
That's normal. Try reducing the reps to 5 and focus on form. Let me know how it feels tomorrow.
Effortless Caseload Management
The dashboard flags patients who need attention. See who trained this week, who didn't, and who's declining. Focus your time where it matters most.

The resistance bands
The sensor works with flat Theraband resistance bands — the same bands already in most physiotherapy clinics in the Nordic region.
Compatible
Theraband Latex Free flat bands, all resistance levels (yellow through black).
Not compatible
Tube bands, loop bands, fabric bands, or Theraband Silver and Gold (metal content disrupts the capacitive sensor).
The sensor was calibrated for the bands your clinic already stocks. No proprietary consumables. No special equipment.
The difference
Rehabilitation platforms that prescribe exercises solve one problem: getting the right programme to your patient. That problem is solved. Tens of thousands of physiotherapists use exercise prescription platforms.
None of them know if the exercises were done correctly.
Exercise prescription tells your patient what to do. This sensor tells you what they did. Content delivery and objective measurement are different product categories. The first has been available for years. The second hasn't — until now.
Your cost for exercise prescription platforms scales with your team — per practitioner, per month. More staff, higher cost.
Your cost for Bandcizer scales with your patients — per sensor, per month. Add your whole team to the dashboard. One price per sensor.
